The Academy of Sociology is a scientific non-profit association based in Mannheim/Germany. The organizational structure of the association is regulated in the statutes. The bodies of the Academy of Sociology are the Board and the General Assembly.

The Board of Directors manages the day-to-day business of the Academy of Sociology. Its members are elected for a term of two years.
